The Memorial Team meets 4 times a year in February, May, July, and November.  They meet the second Wednesday of those months at 2 p.m. in the Conference Room.

Purpose: To facilitate and keep a record of memorials given to Centenary Church.

Church Needs List:

Those who designate the use of memorial gifts often ask for suggestions on how the church could best use the gifts. This is the list they are given:

• Repair and Maintence of church properties
• Major Building Projects - (specify) such as: North Door
• Scholarship Funds

1)  Post High School

2)  Seminary Students

3)  Southeast Community College of Beatrice

4)  Music Scholarship

• Use to add to the Music Ministry Fund (specify)

1)  Music for Chancel Choir or Church Organist

2)  Music for Youth or Children's Choir

3)  Music for Handbell Choir

4)  Musical Instruments or equipment

5)  Piano Tuning, Repair and Replacement of Piano

6)  Adult Choir Robe Fund

7)  Adult Handbell Choir Fund - purchase and maintenance of handbells

• Use to add to the Educational Ministry of Centenary (choose one)

1)  Funding for staff support

2)  Church School Equipment:  bookshelves, storage cabinets or plastic bins, drapes, etc.

3)  Enhance the ongoing Disciple Bible Study Series...supplies, maps, etc.

• Support the Scouting Program of Cub Scouts and Boy Scout Troop #223
• Use for TV Equipment Fund for upkeep and purchase of equipment.
• Use for dining room (chairs) basement P.A. system:  purchase, replace and repair equipment as needed (microphones, amplifiers, speakers, etc.)
• Use for Office Equipment:  purchase and replace office equipment as needed (computers and monitors).
• Use for Church Camping Projects
• Use for Mission Projects or Advance Special Projects: this would mean to under-write projects or programs beyond the local church such as:

1)  Mission work trips

2)  Habitat for Humanity Projects

3)  Warren's Dinner Table

4)  Community Pantry or Salvation Army

• Use for Youth Program: supplies or equipment
• Use for Local Benevolence Fund: giving to needs of local people in time of emergency or extreme need - to be decided and administred by the pastor(s) in a confidential manner.
• Use for Shut-In Mailing Fund providing money for mailing weekly bulletins to shut-ins prior to Sunday Worship Services.
• Kitchen Equipment Funds to purchase, replace, repair equipment in the large kitchen on lower level and the small kitchen off the Activity Room on main level.
• Electric insert for fire place in parlor.
• Use of gift to be determined by the Memorial Team, with the approval of the Administrative Council.
