Centenary has been telecasting worship services on Beatrice cable channel 9 since 1991. What began as a trial has steadily evolved and grown. In 1993 we switched to live broadcasts of services, instead of delayed telecasts of recorded services. 1999 brought a major upgrade of equipment, and there continues to be periodic equipment additions.
Hundreds of viewers watch our cable TV services every Sunday. Bulletins can be mailed out in advance, and some retirement residences have obtained hymnals, so viewers can participate fully in the worship.
Terry Terhune has been the Director of the TV Ministry since it's inception and has trained a crew of 14 volunteers who take turns every Sunday running the broadcast and recording equipment and the Sunday night rebroadcast equipment. Terry also has trained another crew of volunteers who operate the sanctuary sound system, coordinated by Roger Norton and Janice Price.
TV Ministry Mission Statement To spread the Word of Jesus Christ by providing quality access to the program of the Church to persons at remote locations, including homes and other residential facilities, through the Beatrice cable television system.
